The journey so far

A few of the milestones that brought us here, dated from the work itself.

  1. Work begins

The first Talking Links website and early-access list are built.

  2. First working version

Creators can make a link, people can reply, and each reply becomes its own record.

  3. Voice, text or both

Creators choose how people reply, with sensible time limits for voice.

  4. Live voice and Excel export

Spoken words appear as people talk, and replies download for Excel.

  5. Private follow-ups

Creators can follow up after someone replies, and people return through a private link or, if they choose, by email.

  6. A new website

The redesigned homepage and five guides go live, followed by new definition and About pages.

  7. Talking Links Public Launch

    Talking Links opens to everyone.

Built · in private testing

Already built

Working today in our private test environment, and launching on 11 November.

  • One link to ask

Describe what you want to know and share a single link anywhere. People reply in their browser, without an account.

  • Voice or text replies

People speak or type, whichever suits them, and check the important details before they send.

  • Helpful follow-ups

When something important is missing, a short follow-up fills the gap. Follow-ups are capped, and people can skip them.

  • Organised records

Each reply becomes its own record, with the person’s own words beside it, ready to review.

Also built

  • Download for Excel (CSV)
  • Pause and reopen links
  • Private follow-ups after a reply
  • Optional email updates for people who reply
  • Translations labelled as machine translations
  • Corrections kept separately

Completing for launch

Completing for launch

The final work between private testing and opening to everyone.

  • The live service

Moving from our private test environment to the service that will run Talking Links for everyone.

  • Final voice checks

Testing spoken replies with the live speech service across browsers and phones, so voice works where people are.

  • Safety and recovery

Checking that replies stay safe if something fails, including backups and recovery.

  • Open sign-up

Anyone will be able to create an account and share their first Talking Link.

  • QR code sharing

Generate, view and download a QR code for each published Talking Link, so people can scan a poster, slide or counter card to reply.

  • Free and paid plans

We intend to offer a Free plan and paid plans at launch. Prices, billing and availability are still being finalised.

Future vision

After launch

What comes next. None of these has a date, and they aren’t part of the launch.

  • Planned

Act on what people tell you

Review replies, make the decision, and let Talking Links handle the approved next step.

    How Act would work
  • Exploring

    Documents and attachments

Let people attach a CV or a request for quote, with the key details pulled into the record.

  • Exploring

    Integrations

Send records to the tools you already use, instead of copying answers across by hand.

  • Exploring

    Branded links

Share links with your own name on them, so people know who’s asking before they reply.

  • Exploring

    Advanced exports

Richer Excel reports for comparing many replies side by side.

Planned · not at launch

Act: from answers to next steps

Collecting answers is only half the job. With Act, you’ll review replies and make the decisions, and Talking Links will handle the next steps you approve. Here’s how that could look when hiring.

  1. Talking LinksOrganises

An applicant’s record shows their experience, availability and, in their own words, why they want the role.

  2. YouDecide

You read it and shortlist them.

  3. Talking LinksPrepares

It drafts an interview invitation using the details in the record.

  4. YouApprove

You check the email, change anything you like, and approve sending it.

  5. Talking LinksFollows through

The email goes out and the applicant’s status changes.

Questions about the roadmap

When does Talking Links launch?
The public launch is on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 00:00 IST. Until then, Talking Links is being tested privately. Join early access to hear the moment it opens.
Will Act be available at launch?
No. Act is planned for after launch, and we’re still working out how it should feel. When it arrives, Talking Links will prepare next steps and you’ll decide. Nothing would be sent or changed without your approval.
When will the other features arrive?
We don’t publish dates for features after launch. Planned features are committed but not built yet. Ideas we’re exploring may change, or may not happen at all, depending on what early users tell us.
